Approximately 22,000 customers were affected by power outages last night and then again, this morning.
The region impacted included communities west of Saskatoon to the Alberta border encompassing Unity, Kindersley, North Battleford and Rosetown areas. SaskPower says as of 7:35 this morning all outages have been resolved.
The Crown power company says the widespread outages were the result of transmission lines tripping off which tend to affect a larger geographic area since they feed the local distribution systems.
SaskPower is investigating the root cause.
