Two people have been arrested following an incident in the 300 block of Witney Avenue North in the Mount Royal neighbourhood. Around 9 Tuesday morning, Saskatoon Police were told a person may have been forcibly confined at a home. A news release from the Police Service says a perimeter was set up around the area.
The public was advised to stay clear, and there were traffic restrictions in place. Officers report not being able to gain access or make contact with anyone inside when they arrived. The Tactical Support Unit, Crisis Negotiation Unit and Canine Unit assisted Patrol and took two people into custody and the scene was cleared as of late afternoon.

Patrol officers have set up a perimeter around the area and the SPS Tactical Support Unit has contained a home in that area of the Mount Royal neighbourhood. The general public is currently asked to avoid the area until further notice, and traffic restrictions are still in place near the intersection of Rusholme Road and Witney Avenue.
