Saskatoon Police say they made an arrest in connection to a stolen vehicle after it slammed into a parked car.
On Saturday morning around 5:00 a.m. police say officers spotted a black Dodge Caravan in the 200 block of Avenue I South and it was stolen. The Police Service says before officers could conduct a traffic stop the driver pulled over but when they approached the vehicle the motorist fled driving erratically.
The vehicle came to a halt after crashing into a parked vehicle in the 200 block of Avenue L North.
A 16 year old female passenger was taken into custody. She wasn’t hurt and was later released without charges.
An 18 year old Saskatoon man, the driver, was taken to hospital by paramedics as a precaution and later transported to police Detention. He is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and four counts of Breach of Conditions. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
