A 34 year old man has been identified as the victim of a homicide in the northern community located about 525 kilometres northeast of Pelican Narrows.

RCMP were called to a residence just before 2:30 on Wednesday morning. They found Dalton Linklater, who had a life-threatening injury. Linklater was taken to hospital, but died a short time later.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit is handling the investigation and interviewing witnesses.
