Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were lower in nearly every weight category.
Canfax reports the only exception was 700-800 pound heifers which were $1.17 higher. The largest heifer prices decline were in the bottom and top weight classes.
The largest decline for steers was for 3-4 weights down $12.20 to average $322.13 per hundredweight. All other weight categories were only in the $1 to $2 range. The average for 600-700 pound steers was $248.81 per hundredweight–down $1.59 from the previous week.
Prices of live, no-fed cattle in Alberta were mixed from the previous week. The price of D2 slaughter cows increased 51 cents to average $90.30 per hundredweight. The price of D3 slaughter cows were down $1.33 to average $77.17 per hundredweight.
