The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation has an eye on the future. It plans to take the lead in a wide-ranging and comprehensive consultation process to map out what education will look like in Saskatchewan. President Patrick Maze says it will involve all stakeholders with the goal of providing the best possible education to an increasing number of students in today’s economic climate of balanced government budgets. Maze says this vision should be based on the needs and desires of students and parents. The Federation wants to have it in place when the current Education Sector Strategic Plan expires in 2020.
