Saskatchewan recorded 25 tornadoes during the summer including four that were rated EF 2’s in the Blaine Lake, Manitou Beach, Big River and Paynton regions. That was the largest number since 2012.
Saskatoon had the 5th warmest and 12th driest September in 124 years of weather data.
Temperatures on average were 3.6 degrees above normal and the Saskatoon airport only had 6.8 millimetres of rain for the month.
Most locations around the province were also much warmer and drier than normal.
North Battleford only had 4.9 millimetres and Moose Jaw recorded 4.6 millimetres of rain last month. Click here for data on eleven different Saskatchewan locations.
