King Charles flew to Northern Ireland today as part of the last leg of his tour of the United Kingdom. Hundreds of floral tributes adorned the outside of the royal family’s official residence in Northern Ireland – Hillsborough Castle in Belfast.
The queen’s coffin was leaving Scotland later Tuesday to be flown back to London and driven to her official London home, Buckingham Palace. The funeral for Queen Elizabeth if Monday after lying-in-state at Parliament.
A new poll from Leger and the Association of Canadian Studies suggests many Canadians are indifferent to the Royals.
Of the one-thousand-500 Canadians polled between September 9th and 11th, 77 per cent said they feel no attachment to the British monarchy.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, 48 per cent of Canadians said they would watch the Queen’s funeral service when televised and 61 per cent of Canadians are indifferent to Charles now being King.
