With more and more people trying out camping, Scouts Canada has ranked its top sites. From a survey of its almost 47,000 members, Jasper was listed as number 1, and listed in the hidden gem category – Saskatchewan’s Grasslands National Park near Val Marie. Scouts Canada says it’s known for its hiking trails, its badlands and its star gazing. It’s one of Canada’s Dark Sky Preserves – one of the largest and darkest in the world covering 527 square kilometres.
