Saskatoon Police say they have charged a 27 year old man with assaulting 2 police officers. They were trying to arrest a man on outstanding warrants in the 100 block of Avenue O south just after 7 p.m. last night. Police say he became extremely violent and started striking the officers with his fists and kicking them. A CEW, or taser, was deployed and the 27 year old was taken into custody. One officer suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from hospital.
