While at the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show in Weyburn today, Dennis Day announced he is donating $250,000 to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Day is from Carnduff and says his parents, his mother Vi and late father Tony, instilled the value of giving back to his community at a young age and it has always been important in his family. Day is the owner of Fast Trucking Service.
The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation says in a news release the impact of this donation will be felt across communities all over the province. It will ensure continuous enhancements to equipment, technology, programming and research, and the donation will save lives. In recognition, a Treatment Room within Day Medicine and Pediatric Oncology at the Children’s Hospital will be named in Dennis Day’s honour.
Foundation President and CEO, Brynn Boback-Lane says, “Dennis Day’s deep commitment to community, family and well-being are true Saskatchewan values.”
