Sherry Anderson’s Saskatoon-Nutana foursome beat two teams with winning records in the past 24 hours to solidify a hold on a playoff spot at the World Senior Women’s Championship in Geneva, Switzerland.
Canada doubled Sweden 8-4 in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after edging Ireland 7-6 Monday to improve to 3-1, good for second place in Group A. The top three teams advance to playoffs. The Anderson quartet, who have won three straight games after an opening loss to Scotland, plays Czechia during breakfast time Wednesday.
