Playpen Recall

Health Canada has issued a recall for the Portable Baby Tent Playpen with Basketball Hoop. The affected product is identified by model number SQ01. The playpen is made of stainless steel with an attached red fabric cover and black breathable mesh.

Health Canada says its sampling and evaluation program has determined that this playpen does not meet the requirements of the Playpens Regulations. Specifically, the black mesh part of the fabric cover poses a flammability hazard. In addition, the top corners of the playpen can allow a child’s head to pass through, posing an entrapment hazard.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled playpen and discard the fabric cover in their regular household garbage. Consumers can contact Gaoyiservice@outlook.com to request a new fabric cover. Please note that there will be a 2 to 3 month delay in shipping due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the area.

The product was sold on Amazon.ca and can also be identified by the Amazon ASIN number B07SL36TZD.

The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.

Accupril Tabs Recall

Health Canada has issued a recall for Accupril Tabs which are used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure.

Health Canada says the presence of N-Nitroso-quinapril is above the acceptable concentration limit in affected lots. Consumers are advised to continue taking their medication unless advised to stop by your health care provider. Not treating your condition may pose a greater health risk, however, contact your health care provider to discuss other treatment options.

Health Canada says there is currently a reduced supply of combination quinapril hydrochloride and hydrochlorothiazide nationally; however, other drug products are available for treating high blood pressure.
