A 32 year old man was seriously injured in an assault last night on the Big River First Nation.
RCMP say he was transported first to hospital in Shellbrook and then by STARS to Saskatoon, where he remains.
Big River RCMP have a 33 year old man in custody related to this incident.
No charges have been laid, pending further investigation by the local RCMP, Prince Albert Forensic Identification Services, Saskatoon Major Crime North and the Prince Albert General Investigations Section.
