Sask. Liberals call for independent review into SaskParty’s handling of pandemic

Saskatchewan Liberal leader, Jeff Walters is calling on Premier Scott Moe to create an independent review to look into his government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Walters is calling for a review to be announced by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19th.

A news release from the Saskatchewan Liberal Party says failure to do so will result in Walters pursuing a public inquiry to complete the review.

“The sixth wave of COVID is here. Hospitals are filling up, healthcare workers and teachers are stressed, and the public intentionally uninformed,” said Walters. “This is not a winning strategy, this is surrender.”

The Liberal leader points to British Columbia which has started their own independent review into their provincial government’s handling of the pandemic.
