The Saskatoon Police Service has charged two people in connection to an incident early Thursday morning where there was a large police presence around Leif Erickson Place near Rusholme Road. When officers arrived to a report of mischief, it’s reported a gunshot was heard, so the Tactical Support Unit was brought in to assist. Investigators were told two suspects had been involved in an altercation earlier that morning, and two shots were fired through a front window. That’s what led to the police being called in.
A 19 year old man fled on a Transit bus and was arrested shortly after downtown. Police say he had a firearm. A 15 year old boy was taken into custody at the home, and it’s alleged he too had a firearm.
The 19 year old is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, mischief and other firearm-related charges. The 15 year old’s charges include recklessly discharging a firearm, pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon,
