The Saskatchewan Health Authority is still taking COVID-19 precautions, even though the Public Health Order in the province ended on Monday.

S-H-A facilities will continue to require screening for essential family/support persons and visitors in order to curtail novel coronavirus transmission. Effective immediately, S-H-A facility entranceways will begin to moved to self-screening, a process that will be fully implemented by the end of March.

Until then, in order to protect the most vulnerable patients in S-H-A facilities, all non-staff and non-patients will be asked three questions upon entry. If “Yes” is the answer to any one of the questions, you are asked to not enter the facility, with exemptions for situations such as end of life.

In addition, the mandatory masking policy is still in effect at S-H-A facilities with everyone required to wear a medical mask. If you don’t have one, they will be available at all screening stations. Following are the three questions that require a “No” answer in order to enter any and all S-H-A facilities…..

When you visit an S-H-A facility on or after February 28, you will be asked to review these questions:

1. Are you currently under federal orders to isolate/quarantine due to recent travel?

2. Have you or someone in your household tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days?

3. In the last 24 hours, have you had any COVID-19 symptoms?

If you answer YES to any of these, do not enter the facility. There will be a process for exemptions in situations such as the end of life.
