Residential home sales in Saskatoon were 6.7 per cent high last month than for the same period a year ago. A third of all homes sold this year happened in April alone. The year-to-date sales are down 4.8 per cent when compared to the same period a year ago. But, the Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors says, last month’s sales helped close the gap. The increase in April was a reversal of the two months of declining sales in February and March. CEO Jason Yochim says, “Homes that are properly priced in the entry level have been seeing competing offers in many cases.”
The median home sale price increased slightly from March to $320 thousand. The five year average for median residential home sale prices in Saskatoon is $332,650.
