The Meewasin Valley Authority has new a bench overlooking the river and the Meewasin Trail. The new bench has been created to honour the life and legacy of Gladys Hall. The MVA says Gladys was a respected and cherished member of the community. Her work benefited a number of charities including CNIB, Autism Services, the Western Development Museum and the YWCA to name a few. After Gladys passed in October of 2017, work began on plans to memorialize her since she loved spending time in the Meewasin Valley. The Gladys Hall Memorial Bench has been placed and is dedicated to her on Spadina Crescent between 22nd and 23rd streets.
CEO of Meewasin, Andrea Lafond says “Meewasin is proud to have worked with her as well as the Saskatoon Community Foundation and the rest of her community partners to add to her incredible legacy in this city.”
