The City of Saskatoon is warning residents about a potential green cart rebate scam. It appears scammers are back it at it again by making phone calls to residents appearing to be someone with the City of Saskatoon. The caller indicates they’re with the City and asks the resident if they’ve received a rebate cheque from the City’s green cart program. The City reminds residents that they never collect credit card, bank account or any sort of personal information from customers over the phone, through text or email. Another reminder is to never give out your personal or banking information, or credit card number over the phone, by text or by email.
