One Saskatchewan resident who was transferred to an Ontario ICU has died. The province is reporting two more deaths related to COVID-19, but the total only increases by one, at 863, because one death presumably not related to the virus has been removed from the count.
The number of patients in Saskatchewan hospitals with COVID-19 has gone down by 17. There are 197 patients in the hospital with the virus, including 49 in an ICU. That doesn’t include the 22 Saskatchewan people in Ontario ICUs. Since Thursday’s report, one more person has come back to Saskatchewan.
The trend is also downward for the number of new cases of COVID-19, with 141 today (Fri), compared to a month ago when it was 478. Another 3,418 vaccines were given on Thursday, bringing the total for fully vaccinated people to 804,759, which is an eight per cent increase from a month ago.
