The Saskatoon Stars completed a perfect round-robin at the Esso Cup Thursday with a 5-2 victory over the Atlantic region’s Northern Selects.

       The Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA champions won all five games in regulation time, out-scoring the opposition 23-3. It’s the fourth time a team has won all of its Esso Cup round-robin games in regulation time…Saskatoon joining St. Albert (2017), Thunder Bay (2012) and Calgary (2009). In the Thursday victory, Grace Shirley and Mackenna Parker each scored a goal and set up another while Jayda Sachs, Kianna Dietz and Kaitlin Jockims also hit the back of the net for Saskatoon. The Stars take on Quebec Friday afternoon in a semi-final game.
