The City of Saskatoon is starting to open up its four outdoor pools. Riversdale opens today (mon), Lathey on Wednesday, Mayfair on June 15, and George Ward June 16.
Public swimming, family swimming, parent & tot swim, lane swimming, and aqua fitness will be offered in timed sessions in order to manage capacity limits and allow for necessary physical distancing. Sessions will be limited to 2 hours and include admission and exit times.

A swim session can be booked up to 2 days in advance by visiting Leisure Online (select ‘Book a Visit’) or by calling 306-975-2855 (phone lines are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily). A limited number of walk-in spots will be available for public, family, and parent and tot swimming sessions; however, pre-booking is recommended. Walk-in spots are not available for aqua fitness and lane swimming. If you do not arrive within 15 minutes from the start of your booked session time, your spot will be given to someone waiting in line. You may only book one session per day, but you can join the walk-in line as often as you wish. The swim session schedule is listed on Leisure Online (select ‘Book a Visit’) and here.
A general admission fee provides access to public, family, lane and parent and tot swims, and aqua fitness classes. Available again for the summer are the popular Outdoor Pool Bulk Tickets. Purchasing a pack of 10 outdoor pool passes provides a 20 per cent discount off regular general admission rates. Children under six years of age are admitted free to outdoor pools when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Swimming lessons will also be offered at each outdoor pool. Visit Leisure Online for class offerings. Program registration will begin Sunday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. by logging into your Leisure Online account or by calling 306-975-2800.
