Prince Albert Police say one of their members was assaulted around 8:20 Tuesday morning. The officer was looking into a report of a woman who appeared to be impaired, in an alley on the 200 block of 20th Street East. She was arrested for public intoxication and, while searching her, the officer allegedly found a hatchet. Police say she tried to assault the officer but was brought under control. The officer wasn’t hurt. She faces a variety of charges including Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
