Bail has been granted to a Saskatoon woman who is facing child pornography and other sexual related charges against two children aged four and two.
The 25 year-old woman was arrested February 9th after police received a report in January of a child being sexually assaulted, and images being shared on a social media platform. The incidents of abuse are alleged to have been taking place since December of 2019. The woman is facing numerous charges including sexual assault and interference, distributing and making child pornography, committing a sexual offence against a child and bestiality.
The reason for the bail release cannot be revealed due to a publication ban. It does include multiple conditions for the accused, including no contact with the alleged victims, not having devices that can access the internet, and living at a court approved residence. The ban is also in effect for the woman’s name to protect the identities of the young children involved.
The 25 year-old is due back in court on March 24th.
