After a theft from a gas station in Lashburn, Saskatchewan around 11:30 yesterday morning, RCMP responded and located the suspect vehicle which happened to be a black Dodge Caravan taxi cab which matched the description of a cab that was involved in an assault in Regina on Friday. RCMP followed the vehicle on highway 16 when it then came to a stop just off the highway and a firearm was discharged from the van.
An RCMP member then discharged their firearm.
An RCMP vehicle struck the van which cause the van to become stuck in the ditch.
A firearm was then pointed towards RCMP members and an RCMP member discharged their firearm.
Two adults, a man and a woman were arrested with the assistance of police dog services.
The woman received medical attention for minor injuries.
No RCMP personnel were injured.
Both adults are in custody and the investigation is on-going.
