It’s a good start, but more needs to be done. That’s the message from Dr. Joanne Sivertson, President of the Saskatchewan Medical Association. She says the provincial budget presentation needs to do more to initiate real change in the medical system, including investing in areas critical to the sector. She says they need more investment in the I-T infrastructure and the way that the system communicates across the province and with other provinces. Sivertson says funding I-T infrastructure is important, as having better access to timely and accurate information improves the overall being of the health care system.
