The Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Saskatchewan sent a letter to the Saskatoon Airport Authority mid-September after getting called out to the airport over concern about bird strikes.

The WRSOS documented over a dozen dead birds that had hit the windows at the airport.

The president of the rehab group hadn’t received a response as of Wednesday but on Friday posted a picture of the airport with temporary deterrents on the windows and thanked Skyxe for addressing their concerns.

WRSOS says window strikes on any building are largely preventable by adding paint, tape, stickers or screens to windows. Windows are essentially invisible to birds and the problem increasing during migration.
