Rose Valley RCMP have charged a man for having firearms while prohibited to do so.
Rose Valley RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in the rural municipality of Kelvington in relation to a firearms investigation on Monday.
Officers seized four firearms, ammunition and illegal cigarettes, as well as arrested a man at the home.
As a result of continued investigation, 52-year-old Russell Bird from Kelvington has been charged with:
- one count, possession of a firearm knowing it’s unauthorized
- three counts, weapons possession contrary to order
He appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on Tuesday.
