For a third straight game, the Saskatoon Blades were involved in a 3-2 final score – the difference being that they lost on Friday night to the Oil Kings in Edmonton.

Kanjyu Gojsic gave the Oil Kings the win, scoring with 2:11 remaining in the third period to break a 2-2 tie. For the fourth straight game, and the fifth time overall this season, the opposition goaltender was one of the game’s three stars. On Friday, Parker Snell was the first star – stopping 34 shots as the Bridge City Bunch out-shot Edmonton 36-21. In the last four games, the Blue and Gold have only scored 11 goals on 184 shots on goal – a successful shooting percentage of a smidge under six per cent. Only Cooper Williams and Tyrone Sobry could put a puck past Snell into the net as the Oil Kings improved their season record to 6-3-1 with their third straight win. The loss kept the Blades from a third consecutive victory, dropping their record to 6-4-1. Saskatoon continues their Alberta road trip Sunday in Calgary.
