Medicine Hat man charged with copper wire thefts in southwest Saskatchewan

Over the past couple of months, there have been multiple reports of theft at rural industrial sites in the Leader RCMP detachment area. Tools and copper wire were among the items stolen.

On October 8th, Medicine Hat Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the southeast Alberta city. Two people were arrested. It was later determined that one of the pair was connected to the break-ins in the Leader area.

Brian Aske, 48, from Medicine Hat faces break and enter, theft and mischief charges. He is currently in custody for other charges in Alberta. Court details for his Saskatchewan charges are pending.
