On September 15, Co-op members and customers across Western Canada filled their tanks in support of Fuel Good Day
FCL says it was their most successful campaign on record after raising more than $875,000 which is $80,000 more than what was raised last year.
Nearly 200 organizations will benefit and receive financial assistance toward their specific cause. In the Saskatoon area there are 10 entities which benefit including Autism Services of Saskatoon Warman Food Bank and Martensville Food Pantry as well as Hepburn Cooperative Playschool.
Every year on Fuel Good Day, Co-op donates a minimum of five cents per litre of fuel sold at participating Co-op gas bars to registered charities or non-profit organizations in their local community or respective trading areas.
To date, Fuel Good Day has raised nearly $6.5 million.
