The Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Girls’ Summit, with events taking place this week in Saskatoon and Regina.
More than 150 girls in Grades 7 and 8 are expected to participate.
The summit focuses on physical and mental wellness, offering workshops led by women from the Roughriders organization, the Foundation, Football Saskatchewan, and community partners. Participants will take part in physical activities, learn mental health and coping strategies, and hear from women working in football about opportunities in professional and amateur sport. More than 150 girls will attend events in Regina and Saskatoon
The Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation is proud to host its 2nd Annual Girls’ Summit, Championed by PCL Construction, with events happening this week in Saskatoon and Regina.
The event brings together girls in Grades 7 and 8 to build skills to support both their physical and mental wellness and will feature a full day of engaging workshops led by women from the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation, Football Saskatchewan, and other valued community partners.
Students will take part in physical activities, learn strategies to support their mental health, and explore healthy coping mechanisms to maintain a positive mindset. They will also hear firsthand from women working in football, who will be sharing their experiences and highlighting the unique and rewarding opportunities available in both professional and amateur sport.
