Once again, Saskatchewan NDP calls for removal of U.S. liquor from store shelves

The Saskatchewan NDP renewed their call for the provincial government to immediately remove American liquor from store shelves.

In a statement from the party, Shadow Minister for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority Don McBean says the move is needed after what he describes as a formal U-S ban on Canadian alcohol crossing the border. He argues Saskatchewan should take a stronger stance in the ongoing trade dispute with the United States and criticized Premier Scott Moe for not acting more aggressively. McBean says removing U-S alcohol would show support for Canadian producers and industries affected by American trade measures.
