People in Warman looking to sharpen their cheerleading skills can look forward to using a brand-new facility.

The facility didn’t receive funding from the City of Warman and is instead privately owned and funded by the Warman’s Ultimate Cheerleading group.

The Warman’s Ultimate Cheerleading group started when the CEO and owner, Leslie Stevenson, was in high school. The group has since gone from the Warman Home Centre Communiplex, then to a smaller private building, and has now expanded to a bigger facility.

Cheerleading is only one of the programs offered through the new facility. Dance, Gemstones Tumbling, Ninja Tumbling, and Daytime Playtime are a few other programs offered.

Mayor Gary Philipchuk says the new training facility provides Warman athletes with the proper equipment to train and feel like their best self.

“Really does impact so many people in our community who have the opportunity to have cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics type stuff, and have the equipment to go with it.”

The facility is called “The Vault” and is located at 600 1st Avenue South in Unit 2.
