A trucking company in Moose Jaw is facing charges for offences under The Immigration Services Act.
Jorawar Singh and JD Trucking Ltd. are both charged with making or signing any false statements or providing any false, misleading, or inaccurate information.
The alleged offences took place on or about April 9, 2026 at or near Regina. The two parties appeared in provincial court in Regina on September 2 and the matter has been adjourned until September 28.
The Program Compliance Branch of the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training works to protect immigrants and foreign workers in Saskatchewan.
The Province reminds that, “While the ISA and FWRISA specifically protect against the unique situations that immigrants and foreign workers may find themselves in, all employees whether Canadian citizens or permanent and temporary residents are protected by employment standards and occupational health and safety provisions within The Saskatchewan Employment Act.”
