The provincial ministry of Environment has produced a checklist to make sure bats aren’t using your home or cabin as their winter home.

It includes several ways of taking steps to ensure bats, squirrels or pigeons don’t make your home or cabin, their winter home.

By acting now, it will give bats an opportunity to find a different spot to spend the winter months.

The Ministry of Environment reminds the public that bats are protected wildlife and it is illegal to kill them.
