Two wet days at the end of August pushed Saskatoon’s rainfall total well above the monthly average.

Environment Canada reports the city received 64.9 millimetres of rain last month, or 153 per cent of normal, making it the 23rd wettest August in more than 130 years.

North Battleford had 76.7 millimetres or 151 per cent of normal. Prince Albert checked in with 71.3 millimetres or 141 per cent of normal.

Estevan received the largest amount of rain—130 millimetres or close to three times the normal amount.

Some locations were drier than usual in August—-Moose Jaw had 20 millimetres of rain while Swift Current and Regina received 36 millimetres.

When it comes to August temperatures, all 11 centres surveyed in Saskatchewan were within one degree of normal.
