Gas prices are way down in Saskatoon week over week, but that’s not the case for the rest of Canada.
GasBuddy.com says average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon have fallen 12.4 c/L in the past week, averaging 153.93 c/L on Sunday.
This compares with the national average that has increased 0.4 c/L in the last week to 172.6 c/L.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, says, “Average gasoline prices were mixed across Canada over the last week, with Prairie provinces seeing declines while prices rose in virtually every other region, as diesel fell in most provinces following lower oil prices. ”
He added that the factors with the most immediate impact on where Canadian prices go from here are the ongoing developments between the U.S. and Iran and continued Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.
