Unity RCMP search for suspect in collision between vehicle and building

Unity RCMP are asking the public to report information on the whereabouts of a 30-year-old man.

On Monday, just after noon, RCMP witnessed a man, unauthorized to drive, get into the driver’s seat of a vehicle in Unity. Officers attempted an unsuccessful traffic stop, but eventually the vehicle collided with a building, and the man fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

Now, Ricky Vidnes is wanted on warrant by Unity RCMP for three charges. He is five feet eleven inches tall, 146 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He also has a triangle shaped tattoo on right hand

Unity RCMP continue to investigate.
