New speed cameras have gone up on Saskatoon’s Circle Drive following a brief hiatus.
In June, most of the speed camera boxes in Saskatchewan were sitting empty following a fallout with SGI’s camera provider company.
Verra Mobility Systems was the vendor for the province’s nine photo speed cameras. However, at the end of May, the company ended its contract with SGI early and took its cameras with it.
SGI then stated that it issued a Request for Proposal for a new partner, and the transition to a new vendor looks like it is now complete.
