Nearly $1.7 million in charitable gaming grants were doled out by Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan in the first quarter of 2026-27.

A release from the Province says the money benefitted about 1000 groups and organizations in 260 Saskatchewan communities.

For example, over $139,000 was distributed to groups in Saskatoon and more than $164,000 went to groups in Regina. Other communities that received over $50,000 included Prince Albert, Meadow Lake, Humboldt, Weyburn, Estevan, Melville, and Swift Current.

Groups can apply for grants through SLGA’s charitable gaming licensing process online.
