A 28-year-old woman was taken to a Saskatoon hospital on Friday following a stabbing.

At 2:10 p.m., police were called to the area of 22nd Street West and 3rd Avenue South for a report of an injured person. Officers were told that a woman that was on a City bus had been stabbed and the suspect had fled the scene, however it was later uncovered that the woman was stabbed before getting on the bus.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate and anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact police.
