It was only a matter of time.

Another Saskatoon overpass has been struck, this time, with a grain bin being transported by a semi-truck.

The overpass in question is the 51st Street overpass on Idywyld Drive.

The bin is currently wedged, blocking the merge lane from westbound 51st Steet. Saskatoon Police say it’s anticipated that extracting and re-loading it will severely hamper traffic. Southbound traffic flow has been reduced to one lane and will be until debris is removed and the structural inspection is complete.

Police are on scene. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.
