Anyone with information regarding a recent assault in Île-à-la-Crosse is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

On July 4th, RCMP received a report of an injured man at a home on Elbow Crescent.

Investigation determined the man had been assaulted before he arrived at the home, and he was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as serious.

RCMP continues to work to identify and locate the suspect or suspects.
