North Battleford RCMP have charged two men and a woman after a firearm was shot at a dog.
On Friday at 8:00 p.m., RCMP received a report of a firearm discharge on 8th Avenue North in North Battleford.
Investigation determined a man was out walking his dog when a truck with multiple people inside approached him. The occupants threatened the man and discharged a firearm, killing the dog, before driving away. The truck then fled from the area.
RCMP located the suspect’s truck parked outside a home on 110 Street in North Battleford shortly afterward. Three men exited the home and were arrested without incident. A female fled on foot but was also arrested. Two firearms were seized from the home, as well.
Now, 37-year-old Dennis Kennedy from North Battleford faces 11 charges, 53-year-old Allan Desmeules from North Battleford faces five, and 39-year-old Tashina Whitstone from Red Pheasant Cree Nation faces two.
One of the men was released from police custody without charge.
