Two men were arrested on Barrett Street in Aspen Ridge yesterday following notification from the Vancouver Police Department of the presence of a wanted person in Saskatoon.
At around 5:30 p.m. the 27-year-old man, along with an 18-year-old man, were arrested by members of the Tactical Support Unit.
A search warrant was then executed and produced $12,145, 57 grams of powdered cocaine, 58 grams of crack cocaine, two shotgun shells, a knife, and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
The 27-year-old man was known to have 16 warrants from three agencies within two jurisdictions; the Vancouver Police Department in British Columbia and the Calgary Police Service and Cochrane RCMP in Alberta. In addition to the execution of outstanding warrants, both men are facing 10 new charges relating to drugs, proceeds of crime, weapons, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
