RCMP are investigating following a report of counterfeit $50 bills being used at at a business in Creighton.
The incident occured on Monday, prompting the public to remain vigilant when handling cash transactions and to be familiar with common indicators of counterfeit bills.
These include checking your cash for security elements that appear to be applied as stickers or overlays, checking to see if the bills feel or look different than real bills and can be easily damaged or ripped, and looking for black lines or bars on the bills.
The counterfeit bills seized by police all had the same serial number: AHU5885903. Check your wallets. Creighton RCMP continue to investigate.
