There was a large police presence at the airport in the Queen City investigating a call made shortly before 1:30pm on Monday.
A news release from the Regina Police Service says after an investigation “it appears the threats are unfounded.” Activities at the Regina International Airport returned to normal following the initial investigation. Officers are still working to determine the person or persons responsible for making the threats.
In scenarios like these, the Regina Police Service and Regina Airport work closely to ensure training and plans are in place to keep the public safe.
