The Corman Park Police Service is swearing in a new sergeant Monday afternoon.
A release from the CPPS says Richard Fraser brings 25 years of policing experience with the Regina Police Service, complemented by prior service in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Alongside his duties as a patrol sergeant, Sergeant Fraser has been appointed as the Corman Park Police Service’s inaugural Service Sergeant Major. This is the first time in CPPS’s history that this appointment has been made.
His duties in this role include upholding the standards of professional appearance and conduct, developing and overseeing the Service’s ceremonial capability, and ensuring that CPPS uniforms, kit, and personal equipment meet operational and professional standards across the organization.
Sergeant Fraser is also a Member of the Order of Merit of the Police Force, one of Canada’s highest honours for police service. He was awarded this in June of last year.
